The Dawn raids.
For the last couple of weeks we have been learning about the 1970 The Dawn raids. the government made a law any one that was an over stayer had to work for labour since there was to many over stayers working for labour so any one who wasn't a citizen of New Zealand would get raided in the dawn and chucked in the patty wagon and shipped back to there country so the citizen of New Zealand can work and have jobs.

1981 springbok Tour.
This week in literacy we have been learning about 1981 springbok Tour
Watch the clip for more background information. Make a summary about the clip.
Where was it? Why was it important to some? Should sport and politics be mixed? What is your opinion about why they were protesting?
The whole springbok tour 1981 was in New Zealand and the flour bomb test was at Eden park Auckland i think the reason to some people it was so important was that half of the country wanted the springbok tour the go ahead and the other half did not so the government chose for it to go ahead i don't think politics and sport should be mixer because as the 1981 springbok tour went to get to chaos and i wouldn't want more politicos things to get mixed with sport use an advantage to show protest.
I agree with what the protesters because no one like racism's that is not nice to say that to other people that are
from other countries with different skin colour.
